KiwiRail Course Catalogue

This has been one of the biggest projects I’ve worked on at KiwiRail.

My colleague and I were tasked with compiling and organising all of the courses we offer into a single physical document. This manifested into this 200 page beast of a book.

Our people who would be using this book were at the forefront of my mind when designing this.

It was important that we created something that was easy to navigate. We used tabs along the side so that the different sections were easily identifiable and you could move between the sections easily, no matter where you are in the book. Bonus that it adds a nice pop of colour too.

While the tabs effectively separate the different sections of KiwiRail, the cover brings all those colours together to build the title of the book.

The most impressive thing about this project is how all of KiwiRail were involved. Every business unit had a hand in writing about their specific training and people across KiwiRail supplied photos.

Every depot, office and training facility has a physical copy of this book in their lunchroom now, and even the CEO has 3 copies! His assistant has 2 in case one goes missing.

This project was truly a giant company-wide collaboration and I’m so proud to represent that in my work.
